This is the Cripple Creek Granite, a Mesoproterozoic-aged intrusive igneous body that dates to 1.46 billion years old. Meyer et al. (2004) describes it as a finely crystalline to medium crystalline granite rich in potassium feldspar, with muscovite & biotite mica.
